If you want to clean the trays, first switch off the appliance and unplug it from the wall socket. Wait until the trays have cooled down, but are still warm. Then clean them with a brush, sponge or damp cloth and a little hot water. Thanks to the stainless steel feet, the waffle iron does not move during use and stays firmly in place.
